Shaun Rentz: Missing from Minneapolis, car found in Arizona Found

UPDATE: Shaun’s  body was found by a hiker in early November.

Police are saying that where he was is too far from the surrounding cliffs to have jumped, and the terrain would likely have been far too difficult for him to have hiked there from the overlook.

A cause of death has yet to be determined.

Shaun Rentz, 27, from Minneapolis is missing and the police are searching in northern Arizona after his car was found there.

Shaun was to meet with friends, and move in to their home on Monday,  but he didn’t show up.

Shaun’s car was found in Oak Creek Canyon at a scenic area.  Forest Services said that they put a sticker on the windshield notifying the owner of the car that overnight parking or camping was prohibited.  On Tuesday, the car was still there so Forest Services notified the Sheriff’s Office.  That when it was found to be Shaun Rentz’ car.

Law enforcement is trying to determine if Shaun voluntarily left or if there is foul play involved.

Shaun is 6’4″ tall, 215 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.  If you have any information about his whereabouts please call the Coconino Sheriff’s Office at 1-928-774-4523.
