Missing Chico senior found in Sierra Mountain Range

Update:  11/13/12 – John’s van was found today near Inskip, California.  A search has started in that area which is near the Sierra Mountain Range above Chico.

John Dewar, 71, was last seen at his home in Chico, Calif. about 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said.

Dewar is white, 5-foot-10, 162 pounds with short gray/balding hair. He may be wearing blue jeans, a blue-green plaid shirt and white shoes.

Dewar is driving a white 1992 Chevy van camper conversion with a covered spare tire on the back. It’s California license plate is 6PAP362.

Anyone who may have seen Dewar or has information is requested to contact Chico police at 895-4911.
