William Culbertson, 22, from Verona, New Jersey last spoke with his parents on Dec. 12, 2012 and was last seen by a member of a chess club on Dec 14. Will’s family said that Will was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome and he was high functioning and wanted to develop his own independence and wanted to live on his own. While it is clear that he left on his own accord, his ability to function on his own as an adult is of concern.
Culbertson is 6-foot 3-inches tall and 275 pounds with strawberry blond hair. While he has no identifying marks, his top front teeth are fake, which may be noticeable when he smiles, Anderson said. He grew up in Montclair. He is often seen carrying a backpack with a chessboard and laptop. He frequents the Montclair Panera Bread, where he plays chess, reports North Jersey.
Anyone with information on William’s whereabouts, can contact Det. J. Anderson at 973-509-4706.
Hi, I don't want to raise false hopes, but there's a guy who quite often sits on 14st opposite union square in NY, who holds a sign asking for money to get home to Long Island who bears a strong resemblance to William Culbertson. He's not there every day, but I notice him as I remarked to my wife he's been there for months and still hasn't got enough to get to LI. I've seen him around Trader Joes side of the road. I hope this helps!
