State Troopers are looking for missing 12-year old Dakota Moon Turner. She was last seen Friday evening at her home on Sandy Mountain Road in Orrstown, Penn. at around 5 p.m.
Dakota’s mother, Joann Elizabeth Rivera, left their home to pick up her kids at daycare and Dakota said she wanted to stay home while her mother was gone. When Rivera returned 20 minutes later, Dakota was not home and had not told her mother where she was going or left a note. Rivera told police her daughter always tells her where she is going when she leaves.
Troopers searched the home, a friend’s home and a campsite she routinely visits but found nothing. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored zip-up sweatshirt, a pink t-shirt, blue jeans and purple sneaker. Dakota is about 4’9″, 90 pounds, with brown eyes and black curly hair. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg at 717-264-5161.
