
Previous story: There have been several sightings of a Bay area man and a 2-week-old baby after a statewide Amber Alert was reported on Wednesday.
Mesut Guler, 22, of Sunnyvale has allegedly abducted his 2-week-old son Henry Guler-Romero, after telling the baby’s mother he was leaving the state after an argument.
A statement from the Sunnyvale police, said that Guler “has made previous threats to harm himself and the baby.”
A call came in late Tuesday reporting a tall man with a small baby on a street corner in San Diego County, CHP Officer Robert Catana told the LA Times.
Several more sightings of the tan, 2004 GMC Envoy SUV in the Hillcrest and National City area were reported to the police on Wednesday.
Sunnyvale authorities “pinged” Guler’s cellphone and it showed the located was near Balboa Avenue area in San Diego.
