UPDATE: 5/19/14 –
Skeletal remains recovered in Florence County on May 14 along the Big Pee Dee River, has been confirmed as belonging to Angela Grace Pipkin.
UPDATE: 3/7/14 – Randy Gale Robinson was taken into custody and charged with murder in connection with the disappearance of Angie.
According to the arrest warrant, it’s believed Robinson killed her and disposed of her dismembered body at 34 Landing in Darlington County.
Robinson, of Murrells Inlet, was previously arrested and charged with obstruction of justice last week and stands accused of giving “misleading information” in Pipkin’s case.
Previous story: Angie Pipkin was dropped off at at 707 Gun Shop in Myrtle Beach around 9:30 p.m. and was last seen by a surveillance camera at Wilco Food Mart at 6222 Highway 707 in Myrtle Beach, S.C. on Thursday, Jan 16, 2014.
There are several people missing from Horry County. Horry County is in the Pee Dee region with almost 270,000. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the east and Little Pee Dee River and Drowning Creek (Lumber River) on the west and North Carolina on the North. The cities and towns are Myrtle Beach, Conway, Briarcliffe Acres, Atlantic Beach, Surfside Beach, Loris and Aynor are in Horry County but have their own Police Departments. There are 38 unincorporated cities in Horry County.
Brittanee Drexel was one of the first missing cases I heard about in South Carolina.
Brittanee Drexel has been featured on numerous Discovery Channel shows. She was last seen on April 25, 2009 after leaving the Blue Water Inn to return to her hotel; she has not been seen since.
Brandon Graves, 26, went missing on Jan. 30, 2010. He was at the Morris College homecoming festivities and was last seen at the Sabastian’s Nightclub on Broad street. He was taken out by bouncers when he had too much to drink and left a message on a friend’s phone around 3 a.m. He has not been seen since.
Kareem Ward, 22, was last seen in Aynor on June 16, 2007. His car was pulled from a boat landing on the Pee Dee River. He has not been seen since.
Heather Elvis, 20, from Myrtle Beach, S.C. has been missing since Dec. 17. On February 24, 2014, Horry County Police chief Saundra Rhodes announced Sidney and Tammy Moorer are now charged with the murder of Heather Elvis. The bond hearing on the murder charges will be the week of March 17. Heather remains missing.
In December 2013, the Horry County Coroner stated that bones found off Tidewater Drive near Waccamaw Blvd. belonged to a male in their 20s. There has been no name attached to those remains at this time.
