Fort Myers Shore woman sends locator text and then goes missing FOUND

UPDATE:  7/21/15 –  Chelsey was found inside her car in the water below the State Road 31.  Relatives said Chelsey took her father’s death hard and had tried to commit suicide in the past.  Her uncle Tony Davis thanked the community and the sheriff’s office.

“I feel safer in Lee County with these guys on the job.”

Original story:  Chelsey Green went missing from Fort Myers Shores, Florida on Friday.  She left her friends home a few blocks away to go home to go to bed but never made it.

Around 3:30 a.m. Chelsey’s brother received a locator text* showing her near the State Road 31 bridge.   Police were called but they were not able to locate her nor her white Dodge Stratus. Authorities also pinged her phone, but were not able to track her down.

Chelsey’s car has this on the back window.

Maggie Green, Chelsey’s mother asked her daughter to please call her or anyone to let them know she is okay.

If you see Chelsey or her car, please call the sheriff’s office at (239) 477-1000.

*Locator Text:  If you hit the detail button on the upper right hand corner of your iPhone when you are in text mode you can share your location with a friend that has an iPhone.
