UPDATE: 9/2015 – William Robert “Bobby” Rigdon was sentenced to 38 years in prison after being found guilty of murder. Kara Tingle is still missing.
UPDATE: 7/30/14 Bobby Rigdon accused of shooting Gleason Pyles in Duncanville. David Salyers was convicted of plotting Pyles’ death and is serving 20 years in prison. Rigdon, Salyers and Pyles were all members of the Iron Horsemen Motorcycle Club.
Original story: Kara Tingle Rigdon from Lebanon, Kentucky was last seen on July 17, 2010 on Beechfork Loop Road near Gravel Switch. She called her family at 2 a.m. and said she would be home soon, but she never came home. The car she was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 was found on the Bluegrass Parkway several days later. It had a 3/4 tank of gas and the windows were rolled down.
Troopers arrested several of her relatives in 2010 on unrelated charges after investigating her disappearance. Her father-in-law, William Joseph “Joey” Rigdon, 48, for arson and attempted murder from charges for a 2006 house explosion. Kara’s husband, William Robert Rigdon was charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument. Wendy Ridgon, her sister-in-law was charged with intimidating a witness.
William Robert and his twin brother William David were charged with allegedly kidnapping a teen in 2005 whose family lived in the trailer, which was the same one Joey was charged for blowing up in 2006. William David turned himself in at the Marion County Jail in September 2010.
Kara had been estranged from her husband a month before her disappearance.
Rigdon has blonde, shoulder length hair. She is 5’4” tall, 160 pounds, green eyes with a dark complexion and was last seen wearing a white spaghetti strap shirt with black dots, dark blue jeans, black heeled sandals and miscellaneous jewelry. She also has a scar on her nose, tattoos of stars and the moon on the right side of her neck, a Harley Davidson tattoo on her left ring finger and a “West Coast Choppers” cross tattoo on her right ankle.
