Kerry Jones, 46, went missing on Feb. 6, 2016 from Florida. The authorities are asking the public if they are located near the 12300 block of Mandarin Road or 12200 block of San Jose Blvd., in Jacksonville and had a surveillance video hooked up between the days of Feb. 6, and Feb. 16, to contact them. Jones’ 1996 Toyota Avalon was seen entering the Bealls Shopping Center parking lot from the Orange Picker Road entrance on Feb. 7 around 6:48 p.m. and park.
“Approximately five minutes later, an unknown individual was seen riding a bicycle away from the area of Ms. Jones’ vehicle to the north toward Orange Picker Road,” the police stated. They are not sure if the bicyclist has anything to do with Jones disappearance but they would like to talk with the person.
It is know that Jones and Nick Kelly, her boyfriend were arguing on Feb. 6 over a Facebook post. Kelly, who reported her missing told police that Jones knocked him unconscious and he had not seen her since. The police searched the area for her and a dive team searched the waters near the Mandarin home where Kelly said she was last seen, but nothing has been found. Kerry is deaf and moved to Jacksonville after meeting a man online.
“She met a man on a dating website. She talked to him about a month or so. She wanted to meet him. She never met him before, so she decided to move down there for awhile. She been down there since August. She got her a job and everything else,” Aaron Jones, Kerry’s son told First Coast News.
