5/3/16 – A post on Help Find Tom Twitter states he has been found. His body was found inside his submerged truck near Kopperl on the opposite side of the upper end of Lake Whitney from home.
Authorities say his truck was spotted after a man in the area who knew Tiwater was missing, decided to check out a nearby creek.
That’s where he found Tiwater’s truck submerged in the water.
5/2/16 – Authorities are searching for missing Tom Tiwater, 42, from Blum, Texas who was last seen around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29. Tom left his home to find a place to put his boat near the upper part of Lake Whitney. Other reports stated he was looking for a place near Brazos River near the Chisolm Trail Park in Lake Whitney, Texas,so he could go fishing over the weekend. Authorities state his cell phone last pinged at a Blum cell tower late Friday night, which could cover an area as much as 40 .
Blum is a steelworker and has led the Blum Youth Athletic Association. He is 6’6” tall, 320 pounds with red hair and driving a black 2006 Ford F150 with plates HDX9634 as seen in photo.
A volunteer search has been start to search for him, and the next step is to look for him by boat. Please check the Help Find Tom Twitter Facebook page for locations where to meet.
The McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara told KWTX that a helicopter searched for him by air on Sunday. They also searched the wooded area of Steiner Valley Ranch on Monday.
