UPDATE Feb. 2017 – Thomas’ backpack was found with his books and laptop inside, reports, reports KFDA. The backpack was found about three miles from where his car was found near Lake Marvin.
“The backpack was actually located this weekend by somebody that called us in on a tip said they had seen something that looked like a bag,” said Hemphill County Sheriff Nathan Lewis. “We went out there, checked it out, and sure enough the bag did belong to Thomas Brown.”
The police believe the backpack has been there the whole time since Thomas has been missing.
Original Story: Thomas Brown, 18, is missing from Canadian, Texas in Hemphill County. Brown’s pickup was found yesterday around 9:30 a.m. parked under trees outside of the municipal wastewater treatment facility. He was last seen at 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday. He was with a group of friends before he went missing.
Brown is described as a white male, with brown hair and brown eyes, about 6′ 1,” and 180-190 pounds. He was last seen in a solid black pull-over with an orange OSU insignia on the left shoulder, black Canadian Wildcat shirt, faded Buckle jeans, and may be potentially wearing an orange beanie, and new gray/black Under Armour shoes.
A canine search found a scent around the vehicle but nowhere else. If you have seen Brown or have information call the sheriff’s office at (806) 323-5324.
