9-year-old Jace Lyon missing from Hillsdale, Michigan
According to the Hillsdale County Sheriff’s Office press release, Jace has been found at 6:51 p.m. on Jan. 20 in Hillsdale at a residence less than a mile from his home. Sheriff Parker stated that the resident of the home called the police to tell them they found him inside their home. It is unknown how long he had been there but it appears he was there for a couple of days. CPS will follow-up on this case.
9-year-old Jace Landon Lyon has gone missing from Hillsdale, Michigan. He was last heard from on Wednesday at 1611 East Moore Road in Fayette Township by Tanya Lyon, his mother.
Hillsdale County Sheriff Tim Parker, stated in an online interview that Jace called his mom at work at 6:30 p.m. and told her he was home and was going to make some supper and clean up around the house. 30 minutes later she called him and he did not answer, and he never responded back. When she got home around 8:45 p.m. he was not there. Jace has runaway in the past, but there is no clue whether this is what is going on at this time.
The police have been searching since last night and also used a K-9 and a helicopter. They regrouped at 5:30 a.m. and asked for more K-9 teams and volunteers to help search. They have been continuously searching and have found trails in the area they are searching on horseback.
The Hillsdale Daily News reported that no volunteer searchers are needed, but would like the public to keep an eye out for him as he could be with another child or at the store. He if 4 foot tall and 55 pounds with light brown hair, brown eyes, and a small scar on the left side of his head with missing hair. He was wearing black jeans, a blue coat and black and blue Walmart tennis shoes.
