UPDATE 9/11/16 – Kylr Yust, 27, has been arrested and is currently in the Benton County jail, according to Kansas City.com. He was named a person of interest in the case of missing Jessica, but not the only person the police wanted to talk with.
Original story: Jessica Runions, 21, was last seen around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday in Kansas City, Mo. She was last heard from on Facebook around 2 p.m. Her mother send her a text message at 8 p.m. on Thursday but she never responded. Her car, a 2012 Chevy Equinox was found set on fire near 95th Street and Blue River Road.
“We are very concerned for her safety. It’s suspicious circumstances, her vehicle unoccupied, burned in a remote area … just asking anyone who has had contact with her to call the police,” police spokeswoman Capt. Stacey Graves told KCTV News.
Jessica works at the Foxwood Springs senior living community in Raymore. She currently was off work waiting for an okay to go back to work from her doctor after having a appendectomy. Jessica Runions’ family says she was last seen by her friends at a party in Kansas City. The host of that party, Allyn, told her family she left with a friend of her boyfriend, a man named Kylr Yust. Back on Sept. 8, 2011 I wrote about Kylr Yust and his connection to Kara Kopetsky who has been missing since May 4, 2007, and I specifically warned young women in Kansas City to stay away from this guy. Kylr was let out of jail back in February 2016 after serving a 4 year sentence for drug distribution. He was also arrested in 2010 for domestic violence and killing cats, which he plead guilty to.
Police aren’t naming any suspects in the disappearance of Runions, but they did say they were aware of the information about Yust and were investigating them. First, I would think they would have to verify that Kylr and or Jessica were at that party, and she left with him.
I posted Kylr’s Facebook page back in 2010 that I found after he closed his other one. He had it under the name of Kreayt Phayte and below you can see that Jessica was a friend of his.
