
Missing Person California couple Aubrey Moran and Jonathan Reynoso FOUND
UPDATE 10/18/20 – The remains of Audrey Moran and Jonathan Reynoso have been found. Back in June, the authorities found remains they believed belonged to the missing couple in the Coachella Valley. They have not been anymore specific than that as to where they were found. Through DNA testing they were able to identified remains as belonging to them both, and announced the findings. Several people have been arrested in connection with their death. Read story below for information on that.
UPDATE 6/30/2020 – Three men have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Aubrey Moran and Jonathan Reynoso.
Manuel Rios, 28, of Coachella was charged with two counts of murder. Abraham Fregoso, 32 of Indio, Adilene Ines Castaneda, 28 and Aaron Fernando Bernal, 28 are charged with one county of murder. Jesus Ruiz Jr., 41, of Stockton and Eric Rios, 31 are charged with two counts of accessories after the fact.
According to a news release, investigators said “information obtained during this lengthy missing person/homicide investigation has led to the arrest of three suspects in connection with the murders of Audrey Moran and Jonathon Reynoso.” No further information was released. Aubrey and Jonathon are still missing.
UPDATE 1/21/18 – Sergeant Walter Mendez spoke with KMIR news about the missing California couple. There are many social media rumors pertaining to this case and Sgt. Mendez wanted to reiterate some facts. Sgt. Mendez did not say if the trip to Brawley with a group of friends took place, but he did confirm bloodhounds did pick up Aubrey and Jonathan’s scents outside their car in Beaumont. Reynoso’s mother said the same thing back in May 2017. The scent disappeared about 50 feet from the vehicle.
UPDATE 9/26/17 – A $10,000 REWARD IS BEING OFFERED.
UPDATE 5/16/17 -Message from Jonathan’s Mother –
“Friends and family. If you know of anyone who lives by the CA border or has friends or family in Mexico…please have them post this and tag their own friends and family in the Mexico. It has been revised to include the wording in SPANISH. Audrey’s father is walking the pavement by the border. We shall do the social media side.”
The Indio Police Dept. has posted new information on this case:
“Audrey was last seen at her sister’s house on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, between 8:00 p.m. and 8:45 p.m. in the city of Coachella. Audrey stopped at her sister’s house while driving to meet Jonathan at an unknown location somewhere between Coachella and Imperial County. Based on interviews with friends, we believe that Jonathan may have been travelling from Brawley for an unknown reason.”
“Jonathan does not drive and was coming from Imperial County with friends. Those friends have not been identified or interviewed. It is believed that Jonathan and Audrey did meet at an unknown location sometime on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Friends and family tried to contact both Audrey and Jonathan throughout the day and night on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Audrey’s family reported Audrey missing in the early morning hours of Friday, May 12, 2017.”
“Using On-Star, IPD officers located the vehicle (2010 GMC Terrain) around 8:00 a.m., on the westbound side of the I-10 west of the Oak Valley Parkway on May 11, 2017. The vehicle was recovered by IPD and the initial search of the vehicle showed no signs of foul play or forced entry. The vehicle was fueled and operated normally when started.”

“The “selfie” photo that was sent from Audrey’s phone was not taken on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, as originally thought. It was sent to a family member on Wednesday, May 10, 2017, but it is unknown when the actual photo was taken. Audrey’s cell phone records indicate her phone did not use any cell towers outside of the East Coachella Valley on Wednesday, May 11, 2017. Audrey’s phone is still off and there has been no activity since midnight Wednesday, May 10, 2017.”
“Detectives continue to follow-up on all leads old and new. The investigation is considered open and on-going. Currently there are no obvious sign of foul play and this case is being considered an attempt to locate Audrey Moran and Jonathan Reynoso. Aubrey Moran, 26, of Coachella Valley and Jonathan Reynoso, 28, have been missing from California since Fri. May 12, 2017. Aubrey was to give Jonathan a ride to his house in Palm Desert, the Indio Police Department said on a Facebook post on Wednesday. Aubrey’s sister received a photo of them, that the police are calling a “selfie” that evening.
According to Reynoso’s mother, dogs tracked her son’s scent 50 feet into a field.
