August 22, 2019 – I received a message today from Jerry Kinner that he spoke with Johnathan’s mother Angie and was told that the jaw bone belonged to Johnathan. I contacted Angie myself and she confirmed the news. Condolences to Angie, who I became to know over the course of her son’s disappearance.
Last month a jaw bone was discovered in the Colorado River in Bastrop County Texas in July 2019. . The first thought that it might belong to missing Johnathan Hamilton. He was last seen in that area.
The man that found the jaw bone found it on a sandbar.
Original Post: Johnathan Hamilton, 26, (age at disappearance) from Houston, Texas was last seen on May 2, 2015 by his family at their home. Johnathan got into his dad’s car, and let the dog out of the car and told his dad to get the car and he drove off.
Johnathan’s gray 2008 GMC Envoy, TX Tag CDM *1740 was located in the Best Buy parking lot on Hwy 71 in Bastrop, TX on May 4, 2015 and he has not been seen since.
Jonathan’s mom, Angie said, “On May 2 , 2015 is the last time we saw our son. Two days later he was in Bastrop , Texas.”
Bastrop Police responded to a disturbance at the Best Buy. They ran across Johnathan and reported they did not see any issue and let him go. They did call Angie and she asked them to hold him but they said they could not. Angie asked later how she made a positive identification and they said they looked at his ID, but Johnathan’s identification was left at home. So, there is no way they looked at his ID. They found out later that the police really didn’t look at any ID, and went by the persons word, stated Angie.
“We received a few calls from him …from “good Samaritan’s” phone and never heard from him ever again.”
The people that lived on the property said Johnathan showed up on their property that backs up to the Colorado river. Johnathan told them he had been on the river in a canoe, but the police don’t believe that story was true, mostly because Johnathan was not wet and he could not swim. But, according to the people on the property Johnathan walked up to, they said he was wet.
Angie said, “We drove to that town the vehicle was in (to) a parking lot, out of gas. We never saw our son , we don’t know what went on there. We don’t know that he ever left that place.”
The keys were not in the car, like Johnathan said they would be, when he called from the “good samaritans” phone.
“I’ll continue to reach out to seek information seems strange to me that no one has come forward to even say that they saw my son. Different stories have been told , they don’t match up . I will not give up trying to find out what happened . My son was very ill … deathly ill . Medical records state that . Hospitals were called , jails , ems services , morgues , and medical examiners . What happened to Johnathan Lee Hamilton Missing ? It’s been over 2 years ! Someone … Somewhere … Knows Something!”
