Missing Person Middletown, Ohio and Springfield, Ohio
December 18, 2018 -In September of this year, Middletown police and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation found skeletal remains in Moraine, about 20 miles north of Middletown. The remains belonged to Michelle Burgan.
Last September, Gilbert Revere, 57, was arrested. He is facing two counts of tampering with evidence, gross abuse of a corpse and failure to report a death.
July 11, 2018 – The Miamisburg police are searching Sugarcreek MetroPark for any evidence related to the whereabouts of Chelsey Coe. The park is located on Conference Road in Belbrook.
May 3, 2018 – The authorities are searching a home on the 551 Lower Miamisburg Road for evidence regarding the disappearance of Chelsey Coe. A company that works with “underground penetrating radar” were helping Miamisburg police, Miamisburg Police Chief John Sedlak said. A deck was taken apart by authorities during their search.
Multiple police departments are now working together, searching for any connections between cases. The police are looking for women that have gone missing within 35 miles of the 70/75 interchange from May 2016 to August 2017. Four are from Middletown, one is from Miamisburg, and one is from Springfield. Miamisburg is before Middletown.
Authorities stated that some have had a history of prostitution.
Brandy English, 41, went missing on May 11, 2016 from Middletown. According to NAMUS.gov, “Brandy last contacted family in May 2016. She has not been seen since or heard from since. Brandy was involved in a homicide case involving Lindsey Bogan. Brandy is now missing. Both of these cases are centered around crystal meth.”
Although Lindsey’s body was found, I wanted to put her on the list because of the connection she had with Brandy English. Lindsey Bogan, 30, went missing from Middletown on Sept. 13, 2013. The boyfriend, Eric Sexton reported Bogan missing Sept. 14 and said he said he last saw her the day before getting into a silver Dodge Durango at the corner of Central Avenue and Baltimore Street in downtown Middletown. Lindsey’s remains were found last July by a farmer in the woods.
Amber Flack, 30, went missing from Middletown on Sept. 1, 2016. That is all there is on NAMUS.gov.
Melinda Oney Miller, 47 was last seen in Middletown on Feb. 19, 2017. According to Miller’s aunt she was last seen on Grimes St. leaving a house with a man. Melissa also goes by the names Melinda Oney and Mindy Oney. Melissa is described as a white female with blonde hair and blue eyes, 5’2″ tall, and weighing 140 pounds.
Michelle Burgan, 47, missing from Middletown on May 16, 2017. She was last known to be at the Hope House in Middletown. Body found on Dec. 18, 2018.
Missing from Miamisburg
Chelsey Coe, 25, of Miamisburg was last seen in early August leaving a friend’s house and hasn’t been seen or heard from since. The Miamisburg Police Department is now working the case.
Missing from Springfield
Amber Whitmer, 30, went missing on June 6, 2016 from Springfield. There is not much info on NAMUS.gov.
Amanda Ward Romine went missing from Springfield in 2013.
Michelle Rice missing from Springfield in 2009.

Springfield has seen property crimes plummet about 30% recently, so law enforcement must be cracking down on vehicle thefts and home invasion robberies. Statistically, 1 in 168 people in Springfield was raped, attacked or murdered in 2015.
