
Missing Person Colorado Jim Mitchell
May 9, 2018 – The body of James Mitchell was found in Farmer’s Highline Canal in Golden by a citizen removing debris from beneath a bridge, according to a Golden Police Department news release. The police are not calling the death suspicious.

Jim Mitchell, 87, of Arvada, Colorado went missing on December 13, 2017. His last know location before his truck was found was at a bowling alley in Westminster.
The Golden Police Department found Jim’s Truck in Golden on January 18. It had crashed into a railcar. Police searched the immediate area and did not locate Jim. The authorities believe he walked away from the scene.

Jim is 5-foot-10 and weighs 180 pounds and has blue eyes and thinning gray hair. He was last seen wearing a blue fleece vest, red plaid short-sleeved shirt, khaki cargo pants and black athletic shoes with Velcro closures. Jim is a former postman and is used to walking, and may have traveled a long distance from where he left his truck.
