Feb 2018 – The body was positively identified as belonging to Adria.  There is no evidence of trauma.

1/30/18- A body that was found has been tentatively identified as Adria’s.   The Madison County Sheriff’s Department said the body was found around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in a secluded marshy, wooded area inside Horseshoe Lake State Park. There is no foul play suspected but then again the authorities have not ruled it completely out.

1/28/18 – A pill bottle with Adria Hatten’s name on it has been located near the car.  There was also a report of charred clothing but the police have stated that it is not Adria’s clothing and those clothing had been there a while.

Adria Jean Hatten, 39, is missing from Madison, Illinois.  She was last seen leaving her friend’s home in Wood River at 10:30 a.m. on January 21, 2018.  Two days later her 2013 Ford Focus was found stuck in a muddy field on Big Bend Road in Madison near Horseshoe Lake in the Madison/Pontoon Beach, Illinois area with her purse and other belongings in it.  Adria was not found and she has not returned to her home in the 500 block of Stowell Street in Alton.

Rachelle, Adria’s cousin posted, “PLEASE SHARE!!! If anyone would like to help us search for Adria Gibson-Hatten, her family plans on meeting at the Pilot off of 203 in Madison, IL this Saturday (Jan. 27) at 10 am, to search more where her car was found. We could use any and all help. We suggest to wear old shoes or boots. Please share and lets get as many people as we can to search a wider area…we are not giving up until we find her!

Adria was wearing an aqua colored V neck t-shirt, blue jeans and brown high high-heeled boots.

Authorities ask anyone with information about Hatten’s whereabouts to call police at 618-692-4433 or the department’s anonymous tip line at 618-296-3000.
