June 4, 2018 – Four bodies have been found at the home where Springfield police were digging. The Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni said that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has identified the three bodies as:
- Ernestine Ryans, 47, of Springfield, missing since March 18, 2018.
- America Lyden, 34, of Springfield, missing since Dec. 1, 2017.
- Kayla Escalante, 27, of Ludlow
The Springfield police are now searching a home on Page Avenue in Springfield, Mass. after a man was arrested alluding the police. After a car chase in the Six Corners neighborhood where Stewart Weldon, 40, eventually crashed into a police cruiser, they found a young woman who was scared and beaten in the car, according to Mass Live.
The woman, who remained unidentified told police that she had been held captive, raped, repeatedly hit and stabbed by Weldon. The woman was an acquaintance of Weldon’s, according to Hampden County District Attorney Anthony Gulluni. She is currently in the hospital.
On Friday, the police arrived at 1333 Page Blvd., and began putting up barriers and digging. They found three corpses on the property.
Weldon is currently being held on a million dollar bond. Weldon had three active warrants and a revoked driver’s license at the time of his arrest, according to court records, reports WWLP News.
