Missing Person Georgia Sherri Holland

Sherri Vanessa Holland, 36, was last seen driving her 1987 BMW from her Flagler Beach, Fla., vacation home with her two dogs, Gracie and Bear, on August 16, 1996, back home to Atlanta.  The Morrow Police Department announced on Wednesday that they will be searching an area in the woods  after receiving a tip.

After Sherri’s disappearance her car was found a week later on I-75 North just south of highway 54 near exit 76 between Macon, GA & Atlanta, GA. The right side front tire had a nail in it and was flat. A week after that, her dogs were found at a Clayton County apartment complex. Gracie was walking on near the complex and one of the complex’s residents said that Gracie attempted to lead him towards a wooded area across the street from the apartments, according to the Charley Project. Investigators searched the location, but no evidence pertaining to Holland’s case was discovered.

A tip said a woman fitting Sherri Holland’s description was seen with a man entering a mid-1980s dented and faded blue Oldsmobile the night of the disappearance, the AJC previously reported.
