Missing Person Houston Brittany Burfield
Augsut 7, 2019 – The human remains found down in a Third Ward manhole have been officially identified as those of Brittany Burfield, according to Houston police.
August 3, 2019 – The remains of Brittany Burfield has likely been found. Houston activist Quanell X said the woman’s body was found down in a manhole in the 3100 block of Hadley in Houston’s Third Ward, after he met with Alex Haggerty reports, KHOU. Later, Haggerty led Texas EquuSearch and Houston police to her body.
August 24, 2018 – A man has been arrested for the murder of Brittany Burfield. Alex Haggerty, 37, was already in jail on an unrelated charge for choking a woman. Authorities believe that Brittany is no longer alive.
July 16, 2018 – Police are questioning Alex Haggerty, 37, as a “person of interest” is the case of missing Brittany Burfield. Also, police told Tricia that they searched a home that belonged to Haggerty’s grandmother in Third Ward. Some of Brittany’s clothes were found there.
Brittany Burfield, 37, has been missing since Monday, June 25, 2018 from Houston, Texas. Her apartment was found unlocked and items missing. Her cats have not been feed.
Her mother, Tricia, told ABC13 that Brittany considered her cats like her children and would never leave them unfed. She also stated that Brittany sent her a text message that said her phone was broken and she was with a guy she had just met.
“I felt queasy. There was just something odd,” Tricia told ABC13.
Brittany’s car was found by the police near Richmond and the W. Sam Houston toll road.
Brittany has a tattoo of a female Egyptian eye on the back of her neck. She was last seen wearing black shorts and a black shirt.
