Missing Seattle Washington Caleb Joseph Perkins
Caleb Perkins, 25, was last seen in Seattle, Washington. Caleb last communication to his mom, Melissa on Facebook Messenger on May 25. He was last seen in Eastlake.
His mother, Melissa is searching for him and is asking the public to help her by letting her or the police know if they see him.
“He has been known to stay at homeless centers, but was living out of a van in Tacoma that was parked on Altheimer street when I last saw him in May,” said Melissa.
This is what she would like everyone to know about her son:
“Caleb was always kind and gentle. He was a fantastic basketball player in high school and on track for a scholarship to college. He was well liked by everyone in his school and church which is why when he tried to commit suicide in 2013 and dropped out of high school it was a shock to everyone. There is a history of bipolar disorder in my family that runs deep and Caleb refuses treatment and will not accept that he has a problem because he fears what he has seen in his family. I am attaching a card he wrote for me after his suicide attempt. Even though he is homeless, he still took time to check in with me and say ‘I love you mama I’m ok.'”
According to Melissa, Caleb Perkins would likely be in jeans and sneakers. He has psoriasis, almost always wears sunglasses and carries a backpack. He stays very well-groomed for a person who is homeless. He always kept a cell phone to use where there was wifi at a public building like the library. He would use Facebook messenger or Instagram to communicate daily.
Caleb smokes Kool cigarettes. He has tattoos on his arms, and one is the Seattle landscape and the other is a cross with “Matthew 6:63.”
“We think he worked doing some clean up for construction for RUDD Construction based on a Facebook tip from the page we put up,” said Melissa.
