Court documents say Hazana’s mother, Tiaundra Christon, and boyfriend Kenny Hewett beat the little girl to death in mid-October, then kept her body inside a vehicle for three days before dumping her body near Texas City.

A dive team in Galveston County discovered a child’s body on Wednesday in the waters along Highway 146. Authorities are now awaiting conclusive DNA results to confirm who this child was.

College Station Police Department says Kenny Hewett, 32, was arrested and taken to the Galveston County jail for allegedly tampering with evidence. He is the boyfriend of Tiaundra Christon.

A body has been discovered.

“The Texas Rangers (DPS), College Station Police Department, Bryan Police Department, and Galveston County Sheriff’s Office recovered the body of a small child near State Highway 146 in Texas City. Investigators are working to determine the identity of the child.

“This is an active and ongoing collaborative investigation with the assistance of the Houston and Bellaire Police Departments. Further details are not available for release at this time.”

October 30 -College Station police said Hazana Anderson’s clothes were found in a dumpster at the park and they have evidence indicating her mother handled those clothes.

October 29, 2018 – Tiaundra Christon, the mother of Hazana Anderson was taken into custody  and charged with abandoning and endangering a child, criminal negligence and false report to a police officer, according to the arrest record.

Hazana Anderson, 2, is missing from College Station, Texas. She was last seen around 9 a.m. on October 28, 2018 at the Gabbard Park.  The mother told police that she left Hazana in her stroller and went back to the car to get a bottle.  When she returned Hazana was gone.

She is about three feet tall and 28 pounds.Hazana was last seen wearing an olive-green jacket, black shirt with “Girl Squad” on it, cream-colored pants, pink socks, dark pink shoes and a purple beanie. Police say Hazana also has a dark-colored birthmark around her big toe on her left foot.
