A body of a man was found in the water this morning.  The body was found in Lady Bird Lake in the 1300 block of East Riverside Drive.  The police told the family, “We don’t know if it is him, yet.”

As of Saturday evening, Martin is still missing. Here is the latest about him in the video below.  It was brought to my attention about the Church of Wells that has been accused of taking people.  Dr. Phil did a story about it in April 2018, and he says, ‘There clearly, they’re out-they seemed to be out shopping, looking for people, because they had him in the car and gone.’  I contacted the family, and they are aware of the Church of Wells and are investigating this as a possibility.  As a side note, Israel Keys has been part of this church as his mother is a member.  Church of Wells documentary.

Original story

Martin Gutierrez, 25, is missing from Austin, Texas since Monday, Nov. 19, at approximately

martin guiterrez

1 a.m. in the 90 block of Rainey Street. He went out to dinner Sunday evening in downtown Austin with a group of friends.   Surveillance video shows Gutierrez buying one drink sat the Lustre Pearl bar.  Later, surveillance video showed Martin walking east on River Street, toward I-35 around 1 a.m.  He had separated from his group of friends and was alone.  He was also seen at the Alibi Bar.  The video was taken about 10 minutes after he left the bar.  Gutierrez came out of the bar while he was talking on the phone, like he was in a hurry.

About 30 family and friends walked Holly Street and 7th street, all the way east to Chicon searching for Gutierrez, but didn’t find anything.

What also is worrisome if that Gutierrez who is reliable, has not shown up for work.

“I just hope he’s somewhere safe,”  Mitchell Gutierrez, Martin’s older brother told KXAN.

Martin was living with his brother, Mitchell and Mitchell’s girlfriend in eastern Texas.  Martin came to Austin about 8 months ago for employment.

On Wednesday, Travis County Sheriff’s office searched for Martin by boat on Lady Bird Lake while DPS assisted Austin Police by searching the air by helicopter.

He was wearing a light green shirt, a black Patagonia jacket, dark blue jeans and grey Vans shoes.  Hispanic male around five feet eight inches tall, and 160 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information about Martin Gutierrez’s disappearance, call the APD Missing Persons Unit at 512-974-5250. There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to the missing man.

Since you’re here

I have a small favor to ask. More people are reading Missing Persons of America than ever and asking for their family member to be shared. I do it because I believe that every single missing person matters, and they all need equal attention. It can’t be done any quicker, and with less boundaries than social media. Last year, I was bombarded daily with more and more cases to share.  I found myself falling behind as I work 10 hours a day to feature missing people. Also, the network has grown so large that we are in need of an internet host that can serve the growth, so the website does not go down. Many don’t realize that Missing Persons of America independent, investigative posting takes a lot of time and hard work to produce. Frankly, I need funds. If everyone who reads this website, who likes it, can help, our future would be much more secure. For as little as $1, you can support Missing Persons of America and it only takes a minute. Thank you.
