On January 9, 2019, the Parker County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public if they recognize a bright pink tie that was found among the remains of an unknown woman in Texas.
The remains were found by two hunters in the 500 block of Ragle Road near Lake Weatherford on Saturday, January 5, 2019.
“The remains were scattered on the southwest corner of the property in about a 50-yard radius,” Sheriff Larry Fowler said.
The tie is believed to actually have come from a bathrobe, judging by the material. If we are to assume the tie was found like this, you have to note how each end is even. The back of the time seems to be gone as though it deteriorated. It reminds me a lot of a knot that is often used to cinch up a gi. The goal tying the belt around a karate gi is to get it right so that both ends of the tie are even, just as this one is in the photo.
The remains were of a Hispanic woman in her late 20s to late 30s who was between 4 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 3 inches tall. The remains are believed to be a victim of homicide that occurred between 9 months to two years ago.
If you recognize the tie and have any information, please call the Parker County Sheriff’s Office at 817-594-8845 or Parker County Crime Stoppers at 817-599-5555. Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest the suspect or suspects involved.
