Christa Mahoney goes missing in SF, dog found wandering street FOUND

UPDATE: Feb. 8, 2019 – The body of Christa MAHONEY has been found in the San Francisco Bay. The police state there was not foul play .

The authorities have released a new video showing Christa Mahoney walking down the street and going inside John’s Grill. There is a $5,000 reward for her safe return.

Christa Mahoney, 38, from Daly City, California was last seen around 1 p.m. at the John’s Grill on Ellis Street in San Francisco on January 26, 2019. She was also seen with a guy named Brandon that plays a blue ukulele. She has not been seen since. What is unusual is that her dog, Buddy, was found wandering the streets.

Paula Lykins told KRON4 Christa’s personal belongings including her wallet and phone were found on a Muni bus later that day and Buddy was found on Grant and Geary.

“[Her dog] is her constant companion and her dog was picked up by animal care and control and no one’s inquired about him, so we’re really very worried,” said Lykins. “As most dog-lovers know you don’t just lose your dog and don’t try to find him.”

Mahoney is 5’2” and weighs about 90 lbs, she has light brown hair and brown eyes and speaks with an English accent. She was wearing an orange and white baseball cap.

Lykins also told KRON4 that Christa is very ill with a life-threatening chronic illness. “She’s been ill, so she could be sick and someone could have taken advantage of her,” said Lykins.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Daly City Police at (650) 991-8119, reference case #19000706.
