They stated they believe a man and woman were cutting wood in the area of Foster Gulch and South Rockerville Road and spoke with the Black Hills Children’s Home staff between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. They are being described as in their late 20’s or early 30’s and driving a pickup truck. Also, more information has come our surrounding the circumstances of her disappearance. Bill Colson, Executive Director for the Children’s Home Society stated during a press conference that Serenity June Dennard took off during gym time around 11:20 a.m. on Sunday.
“We had two staff and four children who were in the gym together. One child went one direction, and one of the staff members who was with the children went with her, and Serenity went the other way, and another staff member couldn’t pursue her because she had two other children and she was the only staff remaining,” said Colson.
Police were not able to use a plane because of the snow on Sunday, but have been using K-9’s that have alerted but it has not lead to Serenity.
