San Diego Silver Alert for Rick Wilson missing while on his way to DMV FOUND

February 5 – Rick was found. He had been beaten up by a group of men and was taken to the hospital. He is recovering. They also found a tumor that was probably responsible for him getting lost. Rick is on his way to recovery.

Original story: Richard “Rick” Wilson, 74, is missing from San Diego, California. Rick was last seen driving away from his home to the DMV around 2 p.m. The DMV is over off of Cleveland Avenue and the other side is on Normal Street. I am very familiar with the area as this is where I grew up as a child. The DMV is very large with a large parking lot, but after the DMV closes then there is no cars there, so if Rick’s car was still at the DMV you would know it.

Nichelle asked me to post about Rick: “Could you please share this? He and his wife are close family friends, wonderful people, and need help! His wife Lori Wilson spent her whole life as a nurse/ charge nurse for Scripps in San Diego. They have been together their entire life and have no children… She spent her life taking care of others and needs help finding him. He has been missing since the 31st. He is kind and not dangerous! It would mean so much if we could get this everywhere.”

There is a possibility that Rick turned too soon off of Park Blvd. and ended following Washington Street where he could have gone straight heading to Hillcrest/uptown area or the offramp for the 163 and heading either towards downtown San Diego or even Mission Valley. With that he could be miles away from where he started.

Wilson’s family said he has been suffering from occasional memory loss, finds driving at night difficult and takes medication for chronic back pain.

Wilson is described as white, 6’5″ and 250 pounds. Please note that Rick’s height should make him stand out, plus he is wearing a Hawaiian shirt. But he may be in his car parked somewhere too, so keep an eye out for his silver Dodge Magnum vehicle with California license plate with No. DP452DM.

Anyone with information about Wilson’s whereabouts should call SDPD at 619-531-2000.
