March 18 – A child’s body found wrapped in a blanket off the shoulder of Minnesota HIghway 218 is is believed to be Noelani’s, announced the authorities on Saturday.
An off-duty public works employee found the body on Friday night, Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales said.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said in a statement Saturday night that Higgins had stayed at a hotel in Austin at some point in the past week, in hopes to narrow down where Noelani might be.
Original Story: Noelani Robinson, 2, is missing from Kansas City, Missouri, since March 11, 2019.
Noelani’s mother, Sierra Robinson and Noelani were living in Kansas City. Noelani’s father Dariaz Higgins, 34, asked Sierra to bring Noelani to him for a visit in Milwaukee.
Court records say Sierra left Noelani with Higgins. On March 11, 2019, she went with a friend to meet Higgins and pick up Noelani, reports WTJM. They all were in the car driving to an apartment on 91st and Mill Rd. that Higgins said Noelani was at. When they got there, they got out of the car to walk to the door, and Higgins shot Sierra and her friend several times. Sierra Robinson died at the scene and the other woman was wounded.
On Wednesday, Higgins was arrested near 103rd and Caldwell , but Noelani was not with him.Additionally, police said a second individual was arrested for harboring and aiding a fugitive.
Milwaukee Police are asking the public to share the Amber Alert on social media and be on the lookout for Noelani, who could be anywhere at this time.
