Jonathon Minard, 14, is missing from Carroll County Ohio. He was at a New Harrisburg farm doing odds jobs like milking cows on Friday, April 12, 2019, reports News 5 Cleveland. He then went home and returned to the farm after 1:30 on Saturday to do more milking, reports the Free Press Standard. He said he had a toothache and was going to call his mom to go home. He was last seen on Saturday, April 13.
Jonathon seemed to disappear in thin air. His family thought he might have tried to walk home himself and got lost. The family states they never received a call to come get him.
There has been large search parties by the authorities and the public, concentrating on a 6 mile area around Dellroy Fire House, but Jonathon is still missing.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook:
“* ATTENTION ANYONE RESPONDING FOR MISSING JUVENILE SEARCH *
We are very thankful for all the personnel volunteering to assist with this search. Any civilian non-emergency responders PLEASE GO STRAIGHT TO THE DELLROY FIRE HOUSE. Additional instructions will be given from that point. Please do not go directly to any areas currently being searched. At this time there are several K9’s in different areas attempting to track. Any disturbance of the area could hinder their search. Thank you all again for the support in our attempts to locate Jonathon. As previously stated anyone with information please contact our office immediately.”
On Wednesday, the authorities stated they have a person of interest in Jonathon’s disappearance and have asked him questions and also want to give him a polygraph. The 29-year-old man first agreed, but later declined. He has a criminal record with mostly drug offenses, reports Fox 8 Cleveland. He was the last person to see Jonathon.
The Carroll County Sheriff’s office confirm they are treating this as a criminal investigation.
Minard is 5 foot 7 with blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt, brown pants and brown boots.
