UPDATE: This just in, Ryder Cambron has been found safe.
Per the police: She was not abducted.
“Due to the diligence and hard work of Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, we are pleased to report that Ryder Skye Cambron has been safely located in Dobbin, Texas. She was hiding at a residence and fled prior to Detectives’ arrival; however, after a search in a wooded area Ryder was located and is currently in police care. At this time we are able to confirm that Ryder was not abducted, but ran away. All media outlets are invited to meet at the MCSO District 4 substation for a press conference for further details. Full press release will be at 19100 Unity Park Drive, Magnolia around 1 am.”
Original Story: Ryder Cambron, 15, is missing from Magnolia, Texas. She was last seen leaving her home in the 20100 block of Indigo Lake Drive before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office press release. The most recent update stats that the PIO is heading to Unity Park Drive.
A post from a family friend states, “She was riding Mule ATV on her way home last night in her neighborhood in Montgomery County, TX; contacted her dad on her cell phone to let him know that she thought she was being followed. They went out to help her and found the ATV and her cell phone but Ryder was missing.”
The UTV that she was driving was found abandoned in a park near her home, near the Indigo Lakes area. The authorities using SAR dogs throughout the evening and were not able to find her.
Although the post above is calling for help to look for her, the Sheriff’s office has asked the public to let them search as there as the inclement weather may post a risk to untrained searchers. Looking at the media videos it seems that the community is ignoring the Sheriff’s request and are gathering to search for Ryder. But, a post has been made from Scott Spencer: “Montgomery County citizens are awesome and we appreciate everyone’s willingness to assist and help. When we are ready we will put the call out for assistance and because we live in such an amazing county we know you will answer the call. Please keep sharing our flyer and information.
