UPDATE: UPDATE: Davie police have confirmed that 16-year-old Destiny Rose was found and is now in custody of the Department of Children and Families.
UPDATE: New information has come out on the case of missing Destiny Rose. The authorities have released part of a video that was posted on Snapchat two days after Destiny Rose disappeared, showing Destiny in a SUV, according to CrimeOnline.
The Davie Police Department said the video showed an adult male and another girl in the vehicle with Destiny. Two dogs were inside the car with Destiny, including a small white and black dog and a grey puppy. Destiny was seated in the passenger seat, holding and petting the grey puppy. The description of the man matched the description of the person that Destiny’s aunt gave to authorities previously after receiving the original video call in August, according to CBS Miami.
Destiny in the Hallandale Beach area, inside a red vehicle that’s been described as 2002 to 2005 Ford Explorer or Mercury Mountaineer. The SUV’s interior has a unique pattern on the headliner.
Original Post: Destiny Rose, 16, was last seen on August 20, 2019 at the Alpha Group Home in Southwest Ranches in Florida and the family says they have received a video that shows Destiny crying and tied up.
Destiny’s Aunt Shanna told the authorities that she got a Instagram live video chat request from Destiny’s account yesterday. She answered the call and saw a man instead of Destiny. Then the man showed Destiny sitting in a chair with a rope around her neck and tied up and she was crying, the Miami Herald reported.
Shanna heard the man say, “If you actually cared about her, you would be here to get her.” The call ended. Shanna was not able to save the video.
The man is described as Hispanic and between 20 and 30, with a short crew haircut and a small patch of facial hair on his chin.
