UPDATE 10/25/19 – Alexsia Hardy was found living in a homeless camp in the Sellwood area. Neighbors living in the area recognized her from a news story, which helped lead family to her location.
Original story: Alexsia Hardy, 12, is missing from Gresham, Oregon. She was last seen at her home on September 28, 2019. Her family says she left through a basement window, and the police labeled her as a runaway and did not publicly share her photo until October 10, reports KATU news. But, the Gresham police said they sent her photo to other agencies.
Kimberly Davi, Alexsia’s aunt posted on Monday, “Gresham PD contacted me today and admitted that they dropped the ball on her report so now they have a detective assigned and I have his information so if you get any tips please let me know.”
There is a lot of places that Alexisa could be, but it is unknown where she would go, so please keep an eye out for her and if you see her call the Gresham Police Dept.
The family thought she may have gone to her grandparents house but she was not there. The family is conducting searches and passing out fliers and you can go to their Facebook page to find out more information.
