Evelyn Vadie Sides is missing from Loachapoka, Alabama, She was last seen near the 5000 block of Lee County Road 66 around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2020.
She reportedly was last seen near the bridge on Lee County Road 65.
She was apparently playing outside with her caregiver and dog when she wandered off. The adult, who has not been identified at this time, stated that they lost sight of Evelyn and the dog.
‘They had gone off into the backyard of the residence located off of Lee Road 66 here, northwest of Loachapoka,” said the Lee County Sheriff. “They were just walking around in the backyard of the residence, and bear in mind this is a rural area. The homes are pretty far apart and sparsely populated.”
Media reports that 100s of law enforcement personnel showed up to look for Evelyn and that today, Thursday, helicopters and drones are searching. Thursday afternoon, the authorities stated they would be letting the public search.
Evelyn parents are well-know in their small town of Loachapoka, and own the Bulger Creek Farm, which sells goat cheese products.
Evelyn is described as 3-feet tall and weighing 40 pounds. She has red hair and green eyes with a red mark on her nose. The child was wearing a short-sleeve floral dress when she disappeared.
