Christina Whittaker AKA Tina Young lived in the Oakwood neighborhood of Hannibal, Missouri and was last seen at the Sportman’s bar at 611 Broadway on November 13, 2009. Christina was seen at a bar called, Rookies, then later at Sportsman’s. It was reported that she had drank so much that she was “kicked out of the bar,” around 11:30 p.m.
Christina, according to her mother, Cindy Young, Christina reportedly asked the bartender to tell her friends to give her a ride home. She didn’t find anyone that would give her a ride so she went to next door to River City Billiards and began to ask for a ride. No one gave her a ride she was so upset that she ran away in tears.
According to Young, Christina called her boyfriend, Travis Blackwell around 10:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 and said she found a ride home and would be there around midnight, after she stopped at a restaurant to bring him something to eat.
Her phone was found on the 200 block of 7th Street near Church Street.
According to the Charley Project, Christina suffered from a “bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety and fibromyalgia, and she was taking prescription medications for these conditions at the time of her disappearance.”
Because of this it is possible that Christina may have just walked away and could even be homeless. In addition, she had a warrant out for her, but she also was a mother to a 7-month-old baby girl she adored, making it unreasonable that she would leave because of that, her family feels.
Travis Blackwell, Christina’s boyfriend was questioned but passed polygraph tests given by the Hannibal Police Department, but interestingly he was on the Steve Wilkos Show with Christina’s mother, and Dustin Johnston, who is the father of Christina’s baby. Steve Wilcos told Travis he didn’t pass the polygraph twice, but Young told WHIG “Blackwell took a polygraph test at the Hannibal Police Department after the show and passed.”
There has also been sightings of Christina, although nothing recently. Back in 2013, the Las Vegas World News reported Christina was seen in Illinois at Raedene’s Country Cafe in Creve Coeur, near East Period, at about 4 a.m. Monday, just days after her disappearance.
The Hannibal Police Dept. did a search for her, and joined up with other agencies following leads, but they never located her.
