FOUND DECEASED – Maliyah Bass, 2, has been reported missing from Houston and hasn’t been seen since Saturday morning, August 22, 2020.
She was last seen playing on the block of 10630 Beechnut Street at the Sunset Crossing Apartments. The cross street is Wilcrest Drive. Her mother reported her missing around 9:30 a.m.
Tootie’s mother, Simonee Ervin, 20, stated that she took Tootie to the playground right outside their door. She went inside to get her something to eat and when she returned Tootie was gone.
Rosalie Jimerson is the mother of Simonee’s boyfriend.
John Marsden, founder of Houstons Unsolved Homicides was on the scene and did a Facebook live video and showed where the pool was and said the pool was so green you could not see the bottom, so the pool was being drained. He also mentioned that there are many vacant apartments and he, along with HPD and Texas Equusearch spent Saturday searching the whole apartment complex and going into each and every vacant apartment looking for Tootie.
Maliyah “Tootie” Bass is 3-feet-tall and weighs between 38 and 40 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
She was last seen wearing a multi-colored tank top with multi-colored shorts. She was carrying an Enchanted themed pillow case with letter blocks inside it
