Missing Ft. Bliss soldier

10/29/20 – The family is fighting to bring attention to this case. It is not receiving as much attention as Vanessa’s or Elder’s case in Ft. Hood did.

There is $25,000 reward for information.

Original story: Richard Halliday, 21, has been missing from Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas since July 24, 2020. He jus assigned to the 11th ADA, 1/43 D Battery.

The military never contacted his family to report that he was missing, and Richard went from AWOL to deserter which is customary after 30 days. Richard’s uncle called his unit when he didn’t hear from Richard for a month, and was told he went missing.

On Tuesday, Sept. 1, the Military Police stated that have appointed an investigator to look into Richard’s disappearance, likely because of the push on social media from the family.

Patricia Halliday stated that Richard was “1st in Basic Training, 1st in AIT, 100% PT, Guidon.”
