Louisiana woman goes missing from Walmart, items found in woods and field FOUND

UPDATE: Taylor’s body was located approximately 600 yards west of Highway 171 in a heavily wooded area near where some of her belongings were found earlier this week. No foul play is suspected at this time and investigators are processing the scene. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

UPDATE: I have just heard that Taylor was found deep in some brush deceased. There are speculations of suicide, but why? Why would you buy leggings. Why would you take your shoes off and wander around. It is hard for me to believe that while she was walking back to her car, she decided to commit suicide, and then how. I’m sure more information will come out soon on this case and I will update.

Original story: Taylor Nichole Nichols, 27, was last seen at a Walmart in Many, Louisiana on September 18, 2020. Taylor, whose last known address was on Nichols Lane in Robeline, LA. Video footage from the Walmart showed “Nichols park her vehicle, enter the store for a short time then exit, walk back to her vehicle and walk away towards the south exit of the parking lot.”

Taylor’s vehicle was transferred to the Detention Center to be processed for possible evidence. Detectives also reviewed all known video surveillance from surrounding businesses which revealed no further evidence.

Detectives have also obtained Taylor’s cellular phone records which showed no activity since Friday evening September 18th.

On Monday, a search of the wooded area between the Many Walmart and Patrick-Miller Tractor Co resulting in finding Taylor’s ID. Other items found is believed some items Taylor purchased at Walmar; leggings and a face mask. There was also a $5 bill found. Leggings were found near a bale of hay in the field along with her ID. The $5, face mask and red sneakers were found in the woods.

In the woods the face mask, shoes and $5 were found. At the field is where the leggings and ID were found.

If she left the Walmart and headed there, why would the shoes she was wearing be off and then the leggings she bought be found farther away. Did something happen in the field and she dropped the leggings and then she was carried to the woods and her shoes came off?

Several acquaintances of Nichols have been interviewed and leads are being followed.

Detectives have also been in contact with other law enforcement agencies in the state, including the FBI Shreveport Office and ROCIC RISS Center. We encourage anyone who has any information to please contact the Sheriff’s Office at 318-256-9241 or message our Facebook page.

Taylor has blonde hair, green eyes, 5’6″ tall, 130 lbs, tattoos on her right leg, left arm and chest.
