James Alan White missing from Dallas

UPDATE 11/5/20 – A video that shows Alan at the Race Trac gas station on Inwood Road has been released by the family. The gas station was located 1.3 miles from Alan’s house according to Matthew. I found it on the map and noted that the place he rented the car was close by. What happened to Alan between the gas station and his home? Did he decide to stop somewhere else after the gas station, did he go to Home Depot, or the place where he rented the car?

UPDATE: 10-30-20 – The loaner car that Alan was using has been found in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Matt Davies told me. Specifically Bonnie View Road and Simpson Stuart Road. So, he passed through Deep Ellum to get to Bonnie View Road, assuming he was the one driving the car.

This means that Alan ended up in the opposite direction that everyone believed he traveled (see map). It also could mean he did go to the gas station that he was believed to have gone to and something happened and his car was taken and driven to the Oak Cliff area. The fastest route, per the map, would have been about 15 minutes. The police will be looking over the car for evidence. Hopefully, there was a surveillance video near by pointing at the car so the authorities can see who got out of the car (video found see above). Alan is still missing. If you are in that area, please keep an eye out for Alan.

Original Story: James Alan White, 55, who goes by Alan is from Dallas and he was last seen leaving LA Fitness on Haskell on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

A family friend said the manager at the gym allowed family to look at video footage from a security camera, reports the Dallas Voice, and while there was no clear picture of Alan.

A surveillance video captures White, who is an advisory managing director for KPMG, at LA Fitness around 5:30 a.m. He never showed up for a business call at his home.

I kept seeing conflicting times on media, so I contacted Matt Davies, a friend of the family and he told me a more precise timeline. James arrived at the gym “at 4:52 a.m. and entered the gym shortly thereafter left the gym at 5:38 a.m.”

There is a thought that Alan stopped for gas, so if he did it would have put him at the as station at 5:50 a.m.

I am not sure what route he took, but did notice the LA Fitness was near Deep Ellum. I just did a story about missing Marisela Botello who was last seen on video in Deep Ellum on October 18. So, I asked Matt if he thought that Alan headed towards Deep Ellum.

“We don’t think Alan went to Deep Ellum,” said Matt. “We think he may have stopped for gas on the way from the gym, perhaps at a gas station on Lemmon somewhere between 75 and Inwood.

Above map shows La Fitness via the 75 to Inwood Road. Below LA Fitness is Deep Ellum area, but the family believes he went in the opposite direction.

Alan was driving a black Porsche Macan loaner from Park Place Motors while his car was being serviced. The Dealer tag is 8F4972, with a white number 7 on the front passenger side windshield as it identifies it from the dealership which has not been able to trace the car.

James Alan White is 5’11” tall and weighs 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a light gray tank top and dark gym shorts, and carrying a maroon-and-navy two-tone sling bag.

The family has hired a private investigator and are working on obtaining a court order to locate his cell phone, according to WFAA.

Matt told me that because of no evidence of foul play, a court order is necessary to ping the phone and the “Find my iPhone” feature was never enabled on Adam’s phone.

The family is also offering a $10,000 reward for anyone who may have information that leads to his whereabouts.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Alan White is asked to contact the Missing Person Squad at 214-671-4268
