On January 25 2019, Elizabeth Barraza of Tomball, Texas was setting up a garage sale in the driveway of her house in 8600 block of Cedar Walk Drive around 7:30 a.m. when an unknown person shot and killed her.
The police have released a surveillance video of that shooting in hopes that someone might find some clues. (below)
“Everybody’s interested in dramas and cop shows, well we are giving you straight up a murder video that you can study and watch,” said Det. Wallace Wyatt, the new detective on the case for the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
What the police do know:
Barraza says “Good morning” to her killer and they talk before the shooting. The words are muffled.
Barraza sees the gun and she jumps from fright.
There were no shell casings found at the scene.
A decal on the suspect’s truck. It’s a 2013 (or newer) black, four-door Nissan Frontier with a PRO-4X sticker.
What the police are guessing:
The man was wearing a disguise. Some media reports are stating this a a sure thing and saying in the video the shooter is wearing boots and possibly a wig.
That Barraza may have known the man, but her father stated in an interview that he believes she did not know him, by the way she addressed him by saying, “Good morning,” as she was addressing someone coming to the garage sale.
The police think that the truck coming back by the house after the shooting, was to make sure the job was done.
Below is the video. You can FF to about 1:12 to just before the gunshots. After letting a few people listen to the gunshots they both agree it is a bigger handgun. “There is no pop to it, so it’s a subsonic flat wall cartridge,” noted an anonymous source.
Missy Bevers – Is another unsolved, no known motive murder caught on video
If you remember back, Missy Bevers of Red Oak, Texas was murdered by a person in riot gear on April 18, 2016 at the Creekside Church of Christ in Midlothian, Texas.
Midlothian is about 3+ hours from Tomball
She was setting up a fitness class that she was teaching when she was attacked by a person dressed in riot gear. Missy died of puncture wounds to her head and chest around 5 a.m. that morning. Although the person had a distinct gait they has not been identified, and whether they are a man or woman has been theorized on social media.
Below is another video, this one is of a car that was seen in the parking lot that same morning. The full video, recorded by 17 security cameras mounted on the SWFA Outdoor store, was posted online by manager of a gun store in that parking lot.
