Austin Bice: Missing SDSU student found dead

Sad news. The missing SDSU student that was in Madrid for a semester and disappeared after leaving a nightclub was found dead on Tuesday.

Austin Bice, 22, was pulled from the Manzanares River that runs through western Madrid, that was not too far away from the nightclub he was last seen at on February 25th.

There was not immediate signs of foul play, but an autopsy is still pending for the cause of death. I believe the police are thinking it is suicide. I don’t know the young man, but I can’t believe that he would have jumped into the river.

Is it possible that he fell in? So, curious me, went to google earth to see if it was a type of river that was easy to fall in and found that the river has man-made concrete sides, so it looks more like a canal to me. Austin was said to have left the club with is the red A on the upper right corner of the picture and walked down the street. If you click on this link you can scroll closer to the river.  You will see that it looks to be quite a walk from the sidewalk to the side of the river.

Maybe more information will come out on this story, but usually in cases like this you hear no more. If it does, I will let you know.
