No suspects have been named at this time. More informtion as soon as it is releaed.

UPDATE: 7/16/21 – During a trial for the Mollie Tibbett case (go here to read more). I find out that Xavior’s mom’s former boyfriend is being investigated. Authorities have arrested him on an outstanding warrant in another county, but have not charged him with Xavior’s disappearance.

Cristhian Bahena Rivera was scheduled to be sentenced to life in prison on Thursday following his May conviction, but defense attorneys filed documents alleging that prosecutors failed to disclose that cops were investigating a “trap” house.  According to now-sealed documents filed by the defense, Arne Maki, a witness for the defense said Gavin Jones allegedly told him he had seen Tibbetts being held captive at a “trap house” owned by a 50-year-old man. Maki said Jones allegedly helped the 50-year-old man kill Tibbetts because her case got “too big” and was drawing too much attention, Jennifer Frese said Thursday during the trial. The defense then named James Manuel Lowe as the 50-year-old man, who was once investigated for kidnapping and sexual assault but never charged, reports Des Moines Register. Lowe was reported to be operating a sex trafficking ring out of the town of New Sharon during the time of Tibbetts’ disappearance from Brooklyn in the summer of 2018. Here’s the kicker, defense attorneys Chad and Jennifer Frese say they have learned that Lowe had dated Xavior’s mother. In fact, they once lived together, according to a 2019 eviction notice filed electronically. But, was Lowe around when Xavior went missing? I asked Sarah, who talked to me before about her missing son. I’m waiting for a response.

Original Story: Xavior Harrelson, 10, (now 11) has been missing since May 27, 2021 from Montezuma, Iowa. Xavior left home at the Spruce Village Trailer Park in Montezuma on his bike and has not been seen since. Spruce Village is less than a mile from Diamond Lake County Park. Xavior was reported missing by a friend’s mom, Samantha Rix.

XCRG reported that neighbors and family members said Xavior acted as a caretaker for his mother, who is an amputee. They also stated that they coulld hear a lot of yelling going on at the trailer btween Xavior and his mom, Sandra. Kevin Kaupzer, who lives next door to the Harrelson’s, said the two would argue often loud enough that they could hear the screaming, but not actually make out what they were saying. Xavior sometimes would ask to stay with different neighbors at the park.

Police and family of the boy said it is out of the ordinary for him to be gone from home overnight with no contact, according to the Associated Press, and authorities consider him to be endangered.

Xavior may be wearing a red T-shirt, blue pajama pants and black high-top shoes. He is 4 feet, 8 inches tall, weighs 100 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.

The poice have used K-9s to search the home and the park and the radius of the park. The Diamond Lake County Park is nearby and hundreds of volunteers have searched for him. Authorities have checked in with known criminals in the area and the FBI has set up a digital tip line, according to the Gazette.

The reward is currently at $31,618.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Poweshiek County Sheriff’s Office at (641) 623-5679 or the Missing Person Clearinghouse at 1-800-346-5507.
