UPDATE: – May 14, 2012 –  Police say David Wayne Lawrence has been arrested in connection with the disappearance of Sherry Lawrence.  David was arrested on Friday, May 11, 2012, and is facing a felony charge of tampering with evidence.

Authorities tell us that they are looking for another suspect in the case, but have not yet provided us with any details.

The body of missing Sherry Lankford was pulled from the Missouri River in Great Falls Wednesday.  She has been positively identified.  The cause of death was drowning, but the toxicology tests and the autopsy were inconclusive.

Sherry went missing on March 13th from Great Falls, Montana.

The Sheriff’s Office were called about a body in the river, adjacent to West Bank Park downstream from the 1st Avenue North Bridge, around 12:30p.m.

The family is still offering a reward for any information about what happened to Lankford after she was last seen at a Great Falls casino.
