Even though it is raining in the Cascade Mountains, searchers will be out looking for missing Washington State Trooper, Daniel Anderson, 40.

Daniel from Arlington, Washington, went hiking with his friends over the weekend.  He went ahead by himself and has been missing since.

Daniel was carrying an emergency locator beacon (GPS) and a signal was sent showing Daniel was near where he intended to be at Lyman Lakes in the Mt. Baker National Forest, but he must have been in some sort of trouble to send the signal.

A helicopter search on Monday found tracks near Minor Creek.  Tuesday searchers will search that area on foot.

Daniel is a former Special Forces soldier.
