Josh Miller

Update:  Found, read here

Police and volunteers are searching for a missing Pike County, Indiana boy.

Josh Miller, 12, has been missing since last Thursday.  Police believe he is hiding out as volunteers spotted him on Saturday night and a K-9 unit picked up his scent on a trail.

The official search area is County roads 525 West and 1200 South, around Knights Chapey Church in Oatsville, Indiana, near  where Josh lives.

“We’re still extremely worried about his health and welfare but at least gives us some direction at where he could be.  Every time we have a sighting of him it boosts morale that we are on the right track,” said Maddison Seib, a Pike County Emergency Management Agency.

Josh has run away before, but he has never been gone this long. In spite of the fact that Josh is considered a runaway the town has come together to find him, and they hope their search will help flush him out.

Josh is 5’4″ tall, 80 pounds, hazel eyes, short blonde hair.  He is wearing a black t-shirt, blue denim shorts and tennis shoes.  He was last seen near County Road 450 West and Division Street.

There is a possibility he could have traveled outside the area.  If you spot him please call 812-354-6024 and if you would like to help in the search call 812-459-0196.
