Gene R. Hall: Missing at Yosemite National Park

Update:  The body of Gene R. Hall was found inside his tent near Fletcher Lake.  It appears he died of natural causes. RIP, Gene. 

Gene R. Hall, 69,  was last see at the Vogelsag High Sierra Camp on August 30 in Yosemite National Park.  He was reported missing on Thursday when he didn’t show up back at his car.

Gene started  backpacking at Dog Lake, where he parked his vehicle on August 29th. 

Search and rescue teams have been searching for him since then, but he has not been found.

If you have seen Gene or are backpacking in the area, keep a look out for him.  Gene is 5’10”, 180 pods, short gray hair.  He was wearing a tan shirt, tan pants and dark green or black rain jacket.  He also had a REI backpack, a purple sleeping bag, a black or silver hiking poles and a ¾ length thermarest.
