Update: A body has been pulled out of the river, but the there has been no positive ID, yet.

Brenda Taylor Thompson, 55, is missing from Florence, Alabama.  Her car was found idling on the O’Neal Bridge over the Tennessee River around 5:00 a.m..

Brenda was last seen on Friday night when she went to bed about 10:00 p.m.  Her husband said he went to bed after his wife and when he woke up around 5:15 a.m. the following morning, Brenda was gone.

“It’s suspicious because her car was parked in the middle of the bridge with no one in it and no signs of it breaking down that we could tell and she just disappeared,” said Keith Jackson Investigator with Florence Police.

Police have searched the Tennessee river with boats and walked along the shoreline, but they have not found Brenda.

“All we know for sure at this point is she is missing,” said Bradford.

Thompson is 4’8″ tall, 175 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.
