Austen Rogers: Missing 13-year-old from W. Virginia Found

Austen Rogers, 13, went missing after he didn’t show up at his grandparents’ home in W. Virginia on Thursday, January 19.

Austen was staying at his grandparents’ home in the Bretz area.  He left there and took a trail into the woods that takes him to his other grandparents home, but he never arrived.

Austen lives with his grandmother, Shirley Rogers on Miller Mine Road.  He left after an argument and headed to his maternal grandmother’s home.  She said she would not drive him back to Roger’s home, so he headed back by foot.

“He tries to say one or the other is being mean to him and he’ll leave and walk to the others house on this trail; it’s about a mile through the woods between them,”  Roxanne Miller his aunt said.

Search teams are covering the area of Monongalia County looking for him.

Austen is 5’3″ tall, 145 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
