Yaiza Cuevas: Missing child in LA found

UPDATE:  Yaiza Cuevas, was found safe and sound at a friend’s house on Saturday.  LAPD Sgt. Michael Mabie said Yaiza Cuevas went to a slumber party at a friend’s house, and her mom was not aware of it.

Yaiza Cuevas, 9, was last seen at school around 6:00 p.m.  She was at her music class at her elementary school on 1711 Montana Street in Los Angeles, and because of a miscommunication no one came to pick her up when the class let out.

When her mother went to pick her up at the babysitters house at 7:00 p.m., she found out that Yaiza had not been picked up.

As of early Saturday morning, Yaiza is still missing.

Yaiza is 5 feet tall, 110 pounds with dark hair and green eyes.  She was wearing blue jeans and black shoes.

If you see her, please call the LAPD Rampart Div at 213-484-3400.
