Clinton Reeves: Missing from Anchorage Found

UPDATE:  5/10/2012 – The mother of Clinton Reeves, Judy Davis  said the body found along an Anchorage road has been confirmed by the police to belong to her son.

Wednesday, police arrested James Thomas, 24, and have charged him with six counts of tampering with evidence and obtained a search warrant for his home which showed a violent incident had occurred there.

Documents also state that Thomas gave inconsistent statements to the police about finding Reeves and an armed man at his home on April 19.  He also said he tried to clean blood from his carpet and couch and he threw bloody towels and a loveseat in trash bins around town, and burned his own clothing.

Police are naming him as person of interest in Reeve’s disappearance.Clinton Reeves was last seen on April 19 from Joint base Elemndorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska.

Reeves is a senior airman with the 673d Logistics Readiness Squadron.  He was reported missing on April 22 when he didn’t report for work.  His rental car a 2012 Dodge Avenger  was discovered in Mountain View.  The car was unlocked and the keys and Clinton’s training gear was in the car along with the phone charger.

“He was looking for a used car.  And so he could be anywhere,” said Judy Davis, his mother.  I know he was looking on Craigslist.  And it could’ve been anywhere around Anchorage.”
